The Project

Construction of a new child Childcare Centre at the Castlegar and District Community Complex (CDCC). The new facility will provide 30 new childcare spaces for local families.

The exterior walls are constructed of Cross Laminated Timber and the beams and exterior columns are Glulam, both products were manufactured and CNC’d just outside Castlegar, BC.

Constructed to achieve Step Code 4 equivalency energy targets.

Our Solution

AHC provided design assist input for the construction of CLT walls and roof – the exposed mass timber surfaces create a natural and inviting environment. During construction AHC was the general contractor.
