AHC proudly partnered with the Salvation Army on the Boundless Vancouver project, a 12-month endeavor that restructured and enhanced their facility to better serve the community. As Vancouver’s largest non-governmental provider of social services, the Salvation Army offers a wide range of support to the city’s most vulnerable residents. This project included a major structural seismic upgrade, mechanical, electrical and plumbing improvements, and re-cladding of the building’s front facing Fraser Street, ensuring all falling hazards were removed. The main floor was made fully accessible in accordance with the Vancouver Building Bylaw, featuring renovated office spaces for workers and volunteers, a prayer room, meeting room, a versatile open space for community events, a welcoming reception area with a lobby, and a new kitchen dedicated to serving meals to the people in the community.

In addition to these upgrades, the basement and top levels received new finishes, refreshing the overall look and functionality of the building. The AHC team successfully delivered this project, ensuring that the Salvation Army can continue its vital work in an improved and safer environment. Through this collaboration, AHC supported the Salvation Army’s mission to offer more workshops, counseling, community meals, and programs where neighbors can play, celebrate, and pray together.
