Built in 1985, McTaggart-Cowan Hall is a co-ed traditional-style residence that houses 200 students. The renovation was completed by AHC acting as a Construction Manager. The project involved a complete renovation to the building mechanical systems, plumbing and HVAC, including the replacement of the building’s RTUs.
Project Scope:
• Washrooms renovations, including renewal of ventilation systems on all the floors;
• Kitchen upgrades;
• Basement Laundry and Garbage Disposal Area to be accessible;
• Lounge and Multi-purpose rooms;
• Lighting upgrades in the common areas;
• Emergency power feed from one of the towers, or Independent Generator;
• Mechanical systems to be DDC controlled;
• Upgrade of fire alarm/sprinkler systems.
